OUESD is a Safe Haven School District

The Board of Trustees adopted Resolution No. 2016-17/24 declaring the Oakley Union Elementary School District as a Safe Haven School District for students and families. This resolution is intended to serve as a reaffirmation that our District takes the safety and well-being of all students seriously.  You can view the Resolution by clicking HERE.

 

La Mesa Directiva recientemente aprobó la Resolución No. 2016-17/24 declarando que el Distrito de las Escuelas Primarias de la Unión de Oakley sería un Distrito de Refugio Seguro para los estudiantes y familias.  Esta resolución está previsto para cumplir como una reafirmación que nuestro Distrito toma la seguridad y buen estado de todos los estudiantes seriamente.  Puede ver la Resolución haciendo clic AQUÍ.

Welcome to Laurel Elementary School

Laurel School is a community of active learners dedicated to the development of individual potential and social responsibility. We work together to create a Caring School Community which promotes tolerance and respect and provides a safe and nurturing environment in which students can learn. We hold high expectations for our students and have a belief that all students can learn.

2018/2019 Registration

     Our annual registration has changed for the upcoming 2018/2019 school year.  Please be aware that instead of receiving a “First Day Folder”, your child will bring home important paper work on June 1st for you to fill out and sign.  You will turn in all of these signed forms on Registration Day, July 12th between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.in the Multi-Purpose Room.  All forms completed and signed will need to be turned in that day. You will receive your child’s class placement at that time. We will send more information with the paperwork on June 1st.

2018 Summer Lunch and Learn Program

     The free Summer Lunch and Learn Program will return this summer. All children and teens, ages 2 to 18, may attend and receive a free lunch as well as participate in daily activities (art, crafts, games and guest speakers). Children under 5 need to be accompanied by an adult. The program will run Monday through Friday beginning Wednesday, June 13th and run until July 13th (excluding July 4th, 5th, & 6th).

12:00pm – 12:45pm Activities, Crafts, and Games

 

Bethel Island Scout Hall, 3090 Ranch Lane, Bethel Island 11:30am – 12:00pm Lunch

Oakley Elementary, 501 Norcross Lane
11:45am – 12:15pm Lunch
12:30pm – 1:15pm Activities, Crafts, and Games

 

 

Vintage Parkway Elementary, 1000 Vintage Parkway
11:45am – 12:15pm Lunch
12:15pm – 1:00pm Activities, Crafts, and Games

 

     Contact Nutrition Services at 925-625-6852 or the Ed Center at 925-625-6369 with questions. The Summer Meal Programs are funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The USDA and the CDE are equal opportunity providers and employers. There are NO enrollment requirements, qualifications, or paperwork required to participate in the free lunch program.
