The voting for the California Young Reader Medal winner has concluded. Students voted for their favorite books. The winners:
Grades K-3: "Grumpy Monkey", with "We Don't Eat Our Classmates a close second place.
Grades 4-5: "this way, Charlie", with "Dinosaur Lady" coming in a close second place.
Laurel's results have been sent to the CYRM organization to determine the statewide winners. The results will be announced soon.

The FCC has launched the Affordable Connectivity Program
(ACP) which helps low-income households pay for broadband service and internet connected devices; the $14.2 billion successor to the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program.
Eligible households to receive:
Discounts up to $30 per month on internet service
Discounts up to $75 per month on internet service if the household is on qualifying tribal lands
A one-time discount up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers (with a co-payment of more than $10 and less than $50)
